Abyan Governorate

Abyan (Arabic: أبين‎) is a governorate of Yemen. The Abyan region was historically part of the Fadhli Sultanate. It was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group. Its capital is the city of Zinjibar.
