21 unique IP addresses identified upto November 18. All have vandalised, not all have been blocked

Discussion

[edit] November 2nd

A select few articles are the target of repeat vandalism from a range of IP addressed registered to an ISP based in Bogota, Columbia (TV Cable S.A). Malcolm X, Hugo Chavez and for some bizarre reason AN/TPS-43 are the main targets, with a few other random edits to talk pages, one attack on my user page and the like. I realise most of the IP addresses haven't been blocked, but I believe the history of vandalism originating from this series of IP addresses does merit action being taken. I'm quite happy to contact the ISP and see if there's anything they can do, though I would appreciate the help of a Spanish speaker in composing an e-mail to the ISP. Hasn't edited for a week. Wait and see. —Centrxtalk • 17:11, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
I was rather hoping things had died down too, but a couple of edits popped up today, again the AN/TPS-43 article which is on my watchlist and Malcolm X which isn't. Only a couple of edits, one to each of the articles as far as I can see, so I'll leave another week. Heligoland 17:45, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Update - Another couple of edits to the same pages this evening (19:55 UTC) from the new IP address today. Heligoland 20:30, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New IP Address Range

69.79.240.55 (talkcontribsdeleted contribsWHOISRDNStraceRBLshttpblock userblock log) yesterday was found to be editing their two favourite articles again, AN/TPS-43 and Malcolm X - upon checking through NIC.com the IP address range 69.79.128.0 through 69.79.255.255 is also registered to TV Cable S.A. in Bogota, Columbia. I'll be doing further research into the number of different IP addresses used under this IP address range later. I'm in need of a Spanish speaker who could contact TV Cable S.A. though for this one. OK, having looked into this further, I've found a large number of additional IP addresses from TV Cable S.A dating back to August, and I've also found another vandalism originating from Columbian based ISP which ceased just before the abuse from TV Cable S.A started.

The new TV Cable S.A. IP addresses are as follows

and additions to the previously reported 200.118.x.x range are

and this. Close enough to be spotted.

I'm compiling the number of edits made in total by all of these IP addresses. I'm fairly confident it's one very determined user hell bent on vandalising Wikipedia without being caught. Kind Regards - Heligoland | Talk | Contribs 13:54, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

A Spanish editor is needed to draft a letter to the ISP, or a Colombian editor is needed to contact the ISP directly. Kind Regards - Heligoland | Talk | Contribs 01:55, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Is this still open? EG. Do you still need a Spanish editor? 68.39.174.238 02:16, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
