[edit] re: Dybenko
No worries on the double edits. I run a live spell check and will make minor edits when I see them. I didn't realize you were in the middle of a cleanup at the same time as me!
If you see things that need to be done to an article, there is a list of good templates to use at the cleanup templates page.
Have fun! -- Mike Straw 13:03, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to the Military history WikiProject!
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated quite regularly. You can watch it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Starting some new articles? Our article structure guidelines outline some things to include.
- Interested in working on a more complete article? The military history peer review and collaboration departments would welcome your help!
- Interested in a particular area of military history? We have a number of task forces that focus on specific nations or periods.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every military history article in Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Kirill Lokshin 14:52, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: about Mikhail Frinovsky
Actually, his status as a Komandarm isn't the issue so much as his 1916-19 activities. Being a Cheka member wouldn't necessarily qualify him as a military person, but actual combat service—however brief and unimportant—pretty much automatically does.
For what it's worth, the fact that he's a "maniac murderer" isn't really maningful; the project seems to have more than its fair share of those (e.g. Hitler et al.). Kirill Lokshin 22:24, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

I made a few minor formatting changes to your article. Just for info, genus and species names should be italicised. jimfbleak 16:12, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, I stumbled across the page by chance and it caught my interest. I do, in fact, have a chemistry degree, but my changes were mainly formatting rather than content anyway, jimfbleak 06:25, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tukhachevsky
I came across a reference to him, & (honestly) had never heard of him. How big was his influence on Zhukov? How much was he influenced by Fuller, Hobart, & Guderian? What would you say was the best source (in English) on his theory? Has he ever been translated? Thanks! Trekphiler17:13, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dear expert in science,
I would like someone to do an experienced copyedit on the article Clonaid. I spent the equivalent of 2 shifts (16 hours) trying to improve the article from this to this. Since you know how to make featured articles, I was thinking that you would be interested. If you have any suggestions, please post them at Wikipedia:Peer review/Clonaid. The article is currently a featured article candidate. Sincerely, Kmarinas86 22:05, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
