[edit] text of accord link
c-r.org is a respected source, and I don't think that having a link is bad. In fact, I think it is the right thing, and I think the source is the right source for this sort of thing. Smmurphy(Talk) 20:21, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- The link was removed as part of linkspam coming from one IP. If you as an independent editor would like to add it, feel free to do so (though not as "References" unless it has been used as such). Femto 20:39, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- will do, just don't generally like too re-revert without bringing it up in discussion. Thanks. Smmurphy(Talk) 00:52, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

- For normal content disputes you're absolutely right, it's best to talk it out first. However, when a spammer drops his link on dozens of articles (without a prior discussion), it's counter-productive to try to discuss each individual addition. --AbsolutDan (talk) 01:01, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- The link is referenced (in a way) in that the article discusses the contents of the accord itself. Usually I've looked at the text of this and other West African agreements, I've used c-r.org (although it has changed its look recently). So far, the information in the article is fairly benign and nothing is sited, nor would it be if it were in a journal article. Anyway, I've lft the link in References, but it could be just as easily called External Links with no argument from me. Smmurphy(Talk) 01:10, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
