Abune Dioskoros is the bishop of the Seraye diocese of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Following the dethronement and arrest of the Patriarch of the Eritrean Orthodox Church, Abune Antonios by the Eritrean government, Abune Dioskoros of Seraye served briefly as the senior cleric of the church. In May 2007, Abune Dioskoros was enthroned as the new Patriarch of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
