Abu Qirqas

Abu Qirqas is an Egyptian city located in the Minya Governorate. It is located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite of the historic site of Beni Hasan.
The population of Abu Qirqas is around 400,000. The city comprises an important sugar factory.
Abu Qirqas comprises eight local administrative units:
- Abu Qirqas el-Balad
- Abioha
- Atlidem
- Beni Ebeid
- Beni Hasan el-Shorouk
- Beni Moussa
- Greis
- Nazlet Asmant
