The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) is the UAE capital's most prestigious[citation needed] exhibition centre and is currently undergoing an investment programme which will culminate in 57,000 m² of exhibition , a 21,000 m² visitor concourse and 7,500 m² of multi-purpose halls. The complex will also consist of dedicated conference facilities for up to 1,200 people.[citation needed]
The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre was opened in February 2007 by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. When the 2nd phase of construction is completed in 2008, ADNEC will be the largest exhibition centre in the Middle East.
