==CSD-Prod Nomination==

This was originally nominated for speedy deletion. It doesn't seem to fit any of the criterion for speedy deletion so it has been nominated for proposed deletion. The reason is it is both original research and not verifiable. Capitalistroadster 00:22, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

:I removed the prod; the author clearly disagrees about deletion, so prod isn't appropriate. I retagged as speedy nonsense. Mangojuicetalk 11:13, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Absurdistan.jpg

Image:Absurdistan.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 17:00, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

[edit] Accidental College

Are you sure it wasn't referring to Occidental College? I haven't read it and don't know anything about the author, but it seems a more likely match. ALTON .ıl 22:04, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

No, it's explicitly "Accidental", though that is clearly a pun on "Occidental". Cjs2111 (talk) 22:55, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
That's what I was asking. The article says that it was referring to Oberlin College, though. Is it both referring to Oberlin and a joke on Occidental? ALTON .ıl 08:48, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes; the culture of the college is modeled on Oberlin, while the name is a pun on Occidental. It's supposed to reflect the most comic elements of a typical US liberal arts college, I think. Feel free to modify the article if you feel it needs to be clarified. Cjs2111 (talk) 18:05, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
