Abrotonum

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abrotonum (Greek Αβρότονον) was a Thracian harlot, who according to some accounts was the mother of Themistocles.[1] There is an epigram preserved recording this fact.[2] Plutarch also refers to her in his Erotikos (Ερωτικός);[3] and Lucian speaks of a harlot of the same name.[4]
