Its mascot is the Lion, and its school colours are blue and gold. The school offers cross country, water polo, tennis, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, football, baseball, softball, soccer, golf, badminton, track and field, and swimming. Football gets much attention during the Big Bone Game. The team was undefeated during the 2005-2006 season and was at the top of their league.[citation needed] The 2006-2007 was their first year in A league.
Lincoln is also noted for its Mock Trial team, which is the only California Mock Trial team to have won the California State Championships twice in a row. Lincoln placed fourth in the National Championships in 2002.[1]

[edit] Big Bone Game
- The football teams of San Jose High Academy and Lincoln face off at San Jose City College each Thanksgiving in the Big Bone Game. This rivalry game has been held since 1945; it gets its name from San Jose High (now Academy) student Bob Schimdt in 1945, who found a large steer leg in his father's butcher shop and declared it the trophy for the winning school. San Jose won the first Big Bone, but Lincoln has been the home of the bone for 38 of the 62 years. Also, Lincoln has been in possession of the bone for ten straight years, beating the second longest streak in Big Bone history set by Lincoln from 1962 to 1969.
- The Lions baseball team play against San Jose High for the Big Bat, awarded to the winner of the season series between the two teams. In eight years of the Big Bat competition, Lincoln has won every game they've played against San Jose High Academy.
