Abraham Lincoln High School, a public school located in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and with its main entrance located at Ryan and Rowland Avenues, is perhaps better known for its notoriety than any sort of academic merit. Of its best known alumni the list includes the producer of the Morton Downey, Jr. show back in the 1980s (cancelled in 1989], teenage model Pia (who later committed suicide), Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone (who dropped out) and former Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives John M. Perzel. Another graduate of Lincoln is late 1970s and early 1980s model Gia Carangi who died of AIDS related complications in 1986. The school is scheduled for demolition in 2009 with a replacement school under construction in its place. The current principal is Dr.Donald Donley.
