where did this guy go to school?--Zereshk 12:32, 23 January 2006 (UTC) I dont see anything written here to contradict what was written. If no one has anything further to add as to why this is unfactual this citation should be removed-D

Maybe he was self-educated like Abraham Lincoln.

Since there is nothing here about the factual accuracy, I'll remove the tag. MadJack 02:00, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm not conversant with the subject here, but much of the middle portion appears to be conjecture and there is a total lack of sourcing throughout. I think there may be a POV issue at hand. Jonworth 01:10, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

There definitely needs to be some revision here. 128.135.223.187 01:48, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I made some revisions and removed the Totalydisputed tag. Anyone is welcome to put it back ifr there are still problems. Academic Challenger 10:09, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Banisadr peace agreement

The article says that Banisadr was able to secure an agreement from the Arabs whereby they accept all Iranian terms and pay compensation for the war. The article also states this is why he was overthrown by Khomeyni and Rafsanjani for acquiring too much influence.

There is no mention of either of these things in the Iran-Iraq war article or the Rafsanjani article. Where does this information come from?

If you could add a citation if this is accurate information.

Please look at the following articles; http://select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F30817FA3B5D0C728FDDAA0894D9484D81&n=Top%2fNews%2fWorld%2fCountries%20and%20Territories%2fIraq March-31st of 1981 This article is about the ..The Saudi Arabian radio said the mission was carrying a new peace proposal, United Press International reported. The broadcast quoted Habib Chatti of Tunisia, a mission member who is secretary general of the Islamic Conference Organization, as having said that the plan took into account points made by the two sides in written responses to an earlier proposal... Iran's position was clear from the start, that Iraq has to witdraw from Iranian treatories, back to borders set in 1976 Algerian Accord. 2ndly, since Iran was wining the war, and Sadam Hossein and the Arab governments supporting him were in trouble for starting a war under influence of the US, against a government in Iran which was no longer an ally of Israel. They had accepted Iran's condition that Iraq should pay reperations. Iran had estimated the damages in the order of $20 or $30 Billion Dollars and had demanded a penalty of doubling the damages.

This is about the same time that the commision was comming back from Iraq, and the Gulf countries, basically by agreeing to Iranian demands. The interesting thing is that http://select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F60F1FFD395D0C748DDDAA0894D9484D81&n=Top%2fNews%2fWorld%2fCountries%20and%20Territories%2fIraq March-17-1981 Khomeini is giving a speech supporting President Banisadr. So What happened in less than 2 months, which Iran kept wining the war, and was pushing the Iraqee Army out of Iran, which caused the Mr. Khomeini, Mr. Beheshti, Mr. Rafsanjani, and Mr. Khameneyee to want to finish Mr. Banisadr?

There are many other documents which are availible in persian, and some documents which were lost. For instance, just after the newspapers (Including Enghelabeh Eslami) were shut down. They printed a letter from Mr. Banisadr to people of Iran detailing the deal which was about to end the war, and warning the people of Iran that this Coup'd'eta is really an attempt to keep the war going, and imposing more control, by the 'Molla-Taria' (This was the term used for people who wanted to create Dictatorship of so called Molla's). Anyone who was caugth by that newspaper, would be put in jail. I personally know of two brothers who were put in jail for more than 4 years, because they had that.

Look for books written Dr. Hamid Ahmadi, which chronicles Iran/Iraq war, for further information about this event. Also recently there was document which was done by CIA Analysts back in 1982 which talks about the fact that if the war is finished, Iran would end up with a very good situation, and Sadam's regime will fall.

What is mentioned above, at best, constitute an original research, see:[original research?]. The pages mentioned doesn't say anything about what you described in the article! I won't remove them, but i will add a factual accuracy statement.Gerash77 02:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

This article is a train wreck of tags. Also, using terms like "sit on his tank home to Theran" do not belong in a encyclopedia. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not a place to argue over regional conflicts. I am keeping an eye on this. MartinDK 11:11, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
