[edit] Comment

One question: Is Kinoo grown in Abohar, India? According to the internet http://www.jang.com.pk/thenews/investors/nov2003/if.htm it is only grown in Pakistan? Thank you.--Francisco Valverde 20:13, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your corrections and making it even beautiful. Apropos to your query, this region is very close to Pakistan (some 40 Km, maybe less) and Kinno is also grown here. Moreover, this variety was developed in Abohar itself! -- Sunil Sangwal, 195.150.224.236 20:56, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Which sounds better 2?

  • C: A big fare is being held on this mound on every Thursday.
  • D: A big fair is being held on this mound on every Thursday.
  • E: A big fair is _____ held on this mound __ every Thursday.
  • F: A big fair is held on this mound every Thursday.
  • A fair is a kind of market.
  • Something is fair if it is just and reasonable.
  • A fare is a payment for say a train ticket, or even entry to a fair.
  • Fare is also a range of food, such as might be had at a market.
  • Since a market allows customers/buyers to easily compare prices of the sellers, markets tend to have fair prices for their wares and their fare.
  • Fare and fair sound the same but are spelled differently. These are interesting and very important words.
  • What are the words fair/fare like in other languages?
  • F: is better

[edit] What does Abohar mean?

What does Abohar, and other names in the article Abohar mean?

[edit] Immediate deletion of the article is recommended!

When I created this article for the first time, I had not noticed that it will be so badly edited. Now I feel like erasing it altogether. What is the sense in putting the names of local politicians and almost unknown people? There are schools in every nook and corner of Abohar. Is this article supposed to contain the names of all those? Inserting the names of some chai-wala's (tea sellers, like Chacha...) is equally embarrassing. Sunil 13:27, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Deleting the article is going too far. I have deleted the section you are referring. It's nonsense. Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 16:46, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Psuprof 17:01, 6 September 2007 (UTC)I agree with deletion of the section on personalities, unless they are really famous or have done something great. I am also surprised that someone would put in the names of local shops.
