Ablassé Ouedraogo

Ablassé Ouedraogo is a politician and economist from Burkina Faso. Ouedraogo was educated at the University of Nice in France, where he received a doctorate degree in Economics. Ouedraogo worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) from 1982 to 1994. He served as the foreign minister of Burkina Faso from 1994 to 1999. From 1999 to 2002, Ouedraogo was the Deputy Director General of the World Trade Organization. In 2006, he was appointed by the President of the Bank as Regional Adviser for Africa within the African Development Bank.
