The translation of ABIC into english is not very easy. A "Bolseiro" benefits from a "bolsa", which can be translated, for instance, as "scholarship", "grant" or "stipend". I'm not sure which term is best. It is equivalent to "Beca" in Spanish and "Bourse" in French. Is there a non-compound noun in english to designate these researchers? In Portugal, "Bolseiros" include a variety of science researchers and technicians that earn these stipends.
