Abington Township is one of fifteen townships in Wayne County, Indiana, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 919.

Abington Township covers an area of 21.17 square miles (54.83 square kilometers); of this, 0.01 square miles (0.04 square kilometers) or 0.07 percent is water. Lakes in this township include Elkhorn Lakes. The streams of Elkhorn Creek, Locust Creek and Smith Creek run through this township.
