I don't believe that the additional coaches added at Chester were in front of the locomotive. Some accounts of the disaster refer to 'four extra carriages were attached to the front of the train' eg: http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/northwest/sites/abergele/pages/traindisaster.shtml but I don't think that means 'to the front of the engine'20.133.0.14 11:43, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
