[edit] History

The Aberdeenshire Cricket Association (ACA), came into being on 4th October, 1884 with the aim of "the general improvement and control of cricket in the district" [1]. Sixteen clubs took part in the first season, and two of those clubs, St Ronald and Crescent, are still playing in the ACA today.

The ACA now comprises 24 clubs who between themselves field 36 teams organised into 4 grades (or leagues). About half the clubs are from the city of Aberdeen, with the remaining clubs coming from various towns and villages across Aberdeenshire.
