Abercrombie River
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Abercrombie River is a river in New South Wales, Australia. Its closest airport is the American River in Southern NWS. The river flows through freehold land as well as the Abercrombie River National Park area, which provide important habitats for platypus and rakali.[1]
The Goulburn-Oberon Road crosses the Abercrombie River in the steep-sided Abercrombie Gorge.
The Abercrombie is a tributary of the Lachlan River, which it joins at Wyangala lake, formed by Wyangala Dam, near Cowra.
