Abengourou

Abengourou is a department and city of Côte d'Ivoire, located in Moyen-Comoé Region near the Ghanaian border at 7°17′5″N, 2°59′2″W. Abengourou City is primarily populated by the Agni ethnic group, a branch of the Akan people who migrated to the region from Ghana. The population of Abengourou was estimated to be 105,000 people in 2004.

The name "Abengourou" stems from the Ashanti expression "n'pé kro", which means "I don't like long discussions."
