Abell 520

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Abell 520 galaxy cluster is an unusual structure resulting from a major merger. Its galaxies have had their gas content stripped out, much like the "bullet cluster", and also has a large dark matter core that appears to be devoid of galaxies or other normal matter. It is not known how the dark matter and normal matter were separated.[1]
