[edit] Sex Maniac
Does Pak Lah really mean sex maniac or what?
[edit] Iban Bible
More detail on the Iban bible and why it was banned would be interesting, perhaps on a seperate page?
- What has the Iban bible got to do with this article? --Fantastic4boy 02:59, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Endon Mahmood
I have deleted the date and just stated that she is deceased in brackets. I personally feel that this is sufficient as all her personal particulars can be found in the article that I have created about her. Mr Tan 05:24, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
Endon Mahmood is not the "first lady" of Malaysia - that title goes to the wife of the "first man" ie the King of Malaysia's official consort. See Wiki "Yang di-Pertuan Agong" and related article "Rajas Permaisuri Agong". Abdullah's role in Team B was not as a supporter of Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah but more in support of Musa Hitam, his political mentor. He was not "restored" to the Cabinet in 1993 by the grace and favour of Mahathir but by winning one of the three UMNO Vice President's post -- KJ
To be in the cabinet is the PEROGATIVE of the Prime Minister, It is not stated in any law or agreement anywhere that an UMNO Vice President is automatically appointed/become a Minister in the cabinet.--HT
Abdullah & his family including son in law thinks that it is his birth right to be in the cabinet. BTW nobody corrected the first lady thingy in the press all this while. Abdullah & son in law thinks it is kinda cool. --Kich
KJ, I'm not sure who you are and where you are trying to get us to, anyway the defination of 'First Lady', first lady is an unoffical term that is applied to the female spouse of an elected male head of state or head of government, Endon Mahmood (deceased), Nori (Abdullah's daughter) = First lady of Malaysia. Abdullah was restored to the cabinet by Tun Dr. Mahathir, he won the post later after being restored by the grace and favour of Tun Dr. Mahathir.--razilatif
[edit] What are the PM's points of view for the country as a whole, and how does he expect to achieve them?
I am doing a project on the Malaysian government and find that it would be helpful to know what Badawi's stand point is about his country. I haven't been able to find anything of what he is doing or has said he is going to do for his country and have now turned to the discussion as a point of reference. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
- I haven't really been following his policy statements, but Article 153 of the Constitution of Malaysia cites a couple of his speeches that might prove useful. Johnleemk | Talk 04:21, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ancestry
I remember reading somewhere that Abdullah is of Chinese descent and has distant relatives in Hainan. Could you add more about his ancestry? This article looks very short to me, and he's a prime minister after all. --Terence Ong 05:06, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Sometime ago I thought I saw and an article about Abdullah and his Chinese Heritage. His maternal grandfather is Haha Siu Ching. But I check on chinese surname and I did not find any such surname. Since they are Hui Muslim from Sanya, Hainan, China. Could it be that Han not Haha by mistake. Please advise

[edit] Malay Stock in Hainan
I believe more research should be put since there are a significant number of Muslims in Hainan. Most of those muslims are actually from Indochina, from the Kingdom/Sultanate of Champa and they belong to the Cham Malays and does not belong to the Chinese Han ethnic group. The wave of immigration was the result of their country being vanquished and fully conquered by the Vietnamese. What is now South Vietnam and parts of Cambodia were formerly the Cham Malay Kingdom. I read somewhere that those Malays had allied themselves with the Cambodians in their fight agaisnt the Vietnamese. Helmihamid (talk) 07:06, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Succeeded by
Who died and made Najib his successor (successor as Deputy maybe, but the fact box makes it misleading that Najib is Abdullah Badawi's successor as PM) 218.111.2.36 22:36, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Revision
I made a thorough revision through the article for mistakes such as sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. No factual changes. Bonchygeez (talk) 15:30, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] English please
Last paragraph says: Bottom line, ramai org Malaysia tak berapa suka kat Pak Lah ni, mostly because dia tak cukup peka dengan keadaan dan keperluan rakyat dan imej dia memang sudah calar sebagai seorang perdana menteri yang berkebolehan. Pak Lah, tolonglah dengar keperluan rakyat Malaysia..
Can this be translated to English please?
- No need for that, because it will violate the NPOV policy in Wikipedia. Articles in Wikipedia must stay neutral no matter how much you like or hate the person, or anything. Hezery99 (talk) 02:23, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism: Protect this page please!
Someone has vandalised this article by adding the death date of Pak Lah even though he is still alive, as well as the change from Kepala Batas to Kepala Otak. Even though I don't really like this guy, but please protect this article from futher vandalism. Thanks. Hezery99 (talk) 02:23, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
