We're still working on it. Give us a few minutes Anthony, please. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ablesch (talkcontribs) .

I have added the {{notability}} tag to the article. My concern is that, per Wikipedia's guidelines for notability of people, not everyone is significant enough to warrant an article in an encyclopedia and this article does not satisfactorily demonstrate that Diakite qualifies. — Saxifrage 23:41, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Saxifrage, we're still working on it. Please give us a couple days. It's July 4th.

(Could you please redirect this to Abdoulaye Diakite? We just finished the piece, but don't know how to redirect. Thanks bro, Aron. )

Redirected now. — Saxifrage 15:33, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Saxifrage, thank you for your modifications. That was very nice. I modified a couple things as well, as you can see. I also removed a recording, that although Diakite performs on, was released and is now distributed without his consent -- a primary source has disclosed. Best wishes to you. Happy July 4th!

[edit] IPA

I believe the IPA is necessary. As a French and English speaker from North America, I still have no idea how to pronounce Abdoulaye and I can only a guess at how to pronounce Diakite properly. Pronunciations are considered encyclopedic information, so it should be in the article somehow, and IPA is Wikipedia's standard for pronunciation guides. — Saxifrage 17:40, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

If you want to redo it the way you had it, I won't object. Maybe someone out there can do the IPA. I sure as heck can't figure it out. Best, Aron

I can do IPA but I would need to hear the name. The alternative is to leave the PRO-NUN guide in there as you had it before, with the {{cleanup-ipa}} template so that someone working on that project who is already familiar with the pronunciation of the name can do it eventually. — Saxifrage 18:31, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Do you have Skype? I can call you and just tell you the name. You can email me at ablesch@yahoo.com and provide your contact info, etc. That might be the best way. Peace, Aron

I don't have Skype. If you have some way of making a recording in Ogg Vorbis format, you could record the pronunciation and use the Special:Upload page to add it to Wikipedia. It could then be used in the article as well as be something I could make an IPA transcription from. — Saxifrage 00:14, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

That's a bit complicated. Just email me your phone number and I will call you. If you're not there, I'll leave a message with the correct pronunciation. Aron

Sorry, I'm not in the habit of revealing my identity online. It's not really an important enough point for that. Nothing against you, it's just my personal policy. — Saxifrage 20:38, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

No worries bro. It's just the world we live in. Peace, Aron

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:973805818 m.jpg

Image:973805818 m.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
