Abdullah Abdul Latif Al Othman

Abdullah Abdul Latif Al Othman (Arabic: عبدالله عبد اللطيف العثمان) (born 1895 died 1965) was a Kuwaiti businessman who was amongst the first to live in Hawalli. He was known for his generousity and helping the poor both locally and regionally. He started a school with his brothers called Al Othman School in the 30's. Has a street named after him in Hawalli and a mosque which he built himself in 1958, as well as Mosques in Lebanon. He also started the largest and most well-known charity in the Islamic World as Zakat called Zakat Al Othman (Arabic: زكاة العثمان).

His half brother, Mulla Othman Al Othman was a great Islamic Scholar and Imam in Kuwait.
