Abdulaziz Komilov

Abdulaziz Xafizovich Komilov (in cyrillic Uzbek: Абдулазиз Хафизович Комилов ; in Russian: Абдулазиз Хафизович Камилов Abdulaziz Khafizovich Kamilov) (born November 16, 1947 in Yangiyo‘l, Uzbek SSR, Soviet Union) was the foreign minister of Uzbekistan from 1994 until 2003. He lost his post in March 2003, a few months before the government of Prime Minister O‘tkir Sultonov resigned.
He was subsequently appointed as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States on December 4, 2003.[1] He remains in this post, working at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, D.C.
