Abdul Rahman al-Omari (Arabic: عبدالرحمن العمري), a pilot[citation needed] for Saudi Arabian Airlines, was initially named by the FBI[citation needed] as the pilot of American Airlines Flight 11 in the September 11, 2001 attacks.
He had once worked at JFK Airport. [1]
He had moved out of his Vero Beach, Florida residence with his wife and four children on September 3rd 2001, but it was quickly shown that he was still alive, and the FBI issued an apology.
It was quickly determined that Mohamed Atta was the pilot among the hijackers. The FBI then named Abdulaziz al-Omari as a hijacker.
