ABC stores

For the Hawaiian convenience store chain, see ABC Stores (Hawaii).
For the chain of shops operated by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, see ABC Shop.
ABC stores are retail alcoholic beverage outlets operated by the Alcoholic Beverage Control agencies or comparable government agencies in Alcoholic beverage control states of the United States.
"ABC Fine Wine & Spirits" stores in the state of Florida are an exception. They are privately owned establishments that use the familiar name; Florida is not an alcoholic beverage control state.
Many liquor stores in the state of South Carolina are called ABC Stores (or use the ABC acronym in their store names), though they are all privately run. This may have to do with South Carolina being an alcoholic beverage control state in the beginning of the 1900s.
