ABC Highway, Barbados

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ABC Highway is the main highway in Barbados. Opened in 1989, it is named after three famous Barbadian politicians - John Michael Geoffrey Manningham Adams, Errol Barrow and Hugh Gordon Cummins. It streches from Grantley Adams International Airport in Christ Church to the Bridgetown Port in Saint Michael, running through the centre of the island from one end to the other.

Recently, there have been concerns voiced about the expansion project currently underway, concerning the lack of a competitive tender process or studies to justify the costs.
