[edit] Jhansi at Wikimapia

Pls vote to delete incorrectly marked 'Jhansi Railway station' and oversized 'Sipri Railway Bridge'. I have been trying to delete this place I think it requires more votes. To delete it do following : click on the 'corresponding box'->click 'Report Problem'->click 'Delete Request'. It would be nice if you notify once done here on this page itself. Thanks. But some other people have marked small places with big rectangles. Please do correct them. Thanks.

Hi,

Recently I came across recently an intersting wiki thing named Wikia (external link http://www.wikia.com) where anyone can request creation of a Wiki website on almost any topic and Wikia people will create it for you and host on their websevers, all you have to do is to add content, maintain content and attract more users to it, all esp during initial few months till it gains enough momentum.

By Aug 2006 there were already more than 1500 running Wikia wikies, check http://www.wikia.com/wiki/Category:India for Indian city wikies on Wikia.

This servce is provided by Wikimedia group (the one owned by Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia).

Also see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_wiki_farms for similar services provided by others.

Have a look its quite interesting.

Hi, you have very nicely tagged several public places in and around Jhansi. I think you should ask for more administrative rights from Wikimapia people which can enable you to resize/delete any place on Wikimaps. I have that right and all you have to do is to put a request for the same on User talk:Alexandre Koriakine (the talk page of owner of Wikimapia), citing appropriate reason and giving Wikimapia login name.
