Yes it does, to be consistant with the other provinces templates. --Image:Ottawa flag.png Spinboy 19:08, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Navigation was deprecated

{{Navigation}} was deprecated, and all instances of it were converted to {{Navbox}}. That is the reason for the recent conversion to the new form. The old style was deprecated due to problems in some browsers and problems with the javascript that controls it. I don't mean to start an edit war or cause problems, but this template really should move away from the deprecated form. --CapitalR 19:29, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you, I didn't realize there had been a problem. On the surface, they appeared to look the same. GreenJoe 19:44, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] include colleges?

List of universities and colleges in Alberta was recently expanded to include colleges too. Should this navbox also be expanded in purpose to include colleges, maybe Technical institutes too? --Qyd (talk) 21:47, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps the colleges should have their own template? There's a lot of them. GreenJoe 22:04, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
14 public colleges. A line with colleges could also be made optional, i.e. display only when a parameter is activated. I'll built a sandbox at Template:Ab Uni/sandbox. Here's how it would look:
  • with colleges
  • with technical institutes
  • with both

[edit] Location

So when do you use what where? GreenJoe 19:19, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] DeVry

I removed DeVry. No other province includes it in their template. It doesn't really belong. GreenJoe 23:44, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

I also don't see the template in the DeVry article. GreenJoe 23:55, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
That's fine; even though it is prominent in Calgary, it it just a campus of a larger institution. I included it because it was listed in the official Alberta education list. --Qyd (talk) 02:48, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
