Aakirkeby or Åkirkeby is a town and former municipality in Denmark, on the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea.

The municipality covered an area of 186 km², and had a total population of 6,622. This former municipality is now included in the municipality of Bornholm.

The town is situated in the middle of the south half of Bornholm, between Rønne and Nexø. The Danish TV-station TV2 has a local office (TV2/Bornholm) in Aakirkeby.

Aakirkeby could be translated to "Stream Church town", as Å or Aa is a stream. When speaking of the church alone, it is separated into two words: Aa Kirke.
