Artists and Orphans: A True Drama is an award-winning documentary about an American theatre troupe visiting the country of Georgia. The film was nominated for an Oscar at the 74th Academy Awards in 2002 for Best Documentary Short Subject. Artists and Orphans: A True Drama won the Best Short Film audience award at the 2001 Florida Film Festival and the Best Documentary audience choice award at the 2001 Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Rosie O'Donnell narrated the film and Sharon Gans starred as herself. It was directed by Lianne Klapper-McNally.
