A Types is the third full-length album released by the melodic hardcore band Hopesfall. The musical direction of this album deviated vastly from their melodic hardcore roots, instead opting for more grunge and emo influences.

• In the chorus of the song "Icarus", the Greek mythology story of Icarus and his father Daedalus is mentioned.

• The songs "Breathe from Coma" and "The Ones", were written in the span of twelve hours and recorded soon after.

• "Owl" has veiled references to smoking pot.

• Drummer Adam Baker joined the band about three days before entering the studio to record A Types. Before that he had played bass in support of some tours during "the satellite years" era.
