A Tale of Mari and the Three Puppies (Japanese: "マリと子犬の物語") is a 2007 Japanese film based on a true story during the 2004 earthquake. After the earthquake strikes the mountain village where she lives, A dog saves the grandfather of a house. Abandoned in the village by the rescue effort, a girl called Mari takes care of her three puppies until she is finally rescued two weeks later.
