[edit] Article deletion
I notice that you deleted all of the lines in an article. This will always be reversed: it is thought of as vandalism in Wikipedia. A discussion was started on Wikipedia:Help desk#monali dash on how to get this article deleted. You might like to continue the discussion there so you can find out the next step to requesting an article be properly deleted. Notinasnaid 18:30, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Please do not continue to blank the page. Please instead continue the discussion that was started. Blanking the page may get you blocked from Wikipedia, and I am sure you would rather follow the correct procedures to ask for this article to be deleted. Notinasnaid 18:36, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Are you having trouble finding the help desk? Notinasnaid 19:30, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps you do not know how to reply to this message. Just click the "Edit" link and add your comments at the end. Notinasnaid 18:27, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Baffled
I must admit I am baffled by how you are carrying on in Wikipedia without taking advice or asking for help, with all your edits being undone almost immediately. You also seem to be adding your signature to an article. Please don't do that: we must sign talk pages but never articles; the article history is used to find who created or edited an article. [edit] Neutrality of List of states with nuclear weapons
I noticed that you left a comment on List of states with nuclear weapons. The best place to put comments like that would be on the article's talk page, and it would be best for you to elaborate on the problems that you think the article has. I removed the comment from the article, but I hope you come to the talk page to discuss it. TomTheHand 13:14, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:New195.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:New195.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Black hair.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Black-hair.jpg. The copy called Image:Black-hair.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 20:47, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Subhadra.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Subhadra.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Aksi_great (talk) 06:57, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. Fair-use tends to get a bit confusing. I'll try to explain. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia should contain images which do not have a copyright tag on it as then people cannot copy material from wikipedia without worrying about licenses. But USA has this special provision for using copyrighted stuff called Fair-use. Under the fair-use law, you can use copyrighted stuff only under some cases without worrying about prior permission. But everytime you use an image under fair-use, you need to add a detailed explanation as to why the image can be used on wikipedia in a way that it satisfies FU laws. You have uploaded Image:Subhadra.jpg. A stamp is the property of the Government. But we can still use it under fair-use if and only if the image is being used to illustrate the stamp in question. Imagine that we have the photo of George Bush on the cover of the Time magazine. We can use a scan of the cover on wikipedia only to illustrate the article/section/paragraph which talks about his appearance on the cover of the magazine. But we cannot use the magazine cover as a replacement for a pic of George Bush. That would violate fair-use. So it you have an article/section/paragraph anywhere talking about the stamp of subhadra kumari chauhan then you can use this image in that article without worrying. But if you use it to just illustrate an article, then it violates fair-use law. So what you need to do now is to add a fair-use rationale as to why the image can be used in the articles where it is being used right now - Postage stamp and List of people on stamps of India. See Image:Harry_potter_stamps.jpg for a good fair-use rationale. You will need to add 2 rationales as there are 2 articles. Hope I have made things clearer than before. Do leave a message on my talk page if you still have any doubts. - Aksi_great (talk) 12:50, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
