Popups issue

I see you have run into the recent popups issue where it leaves the $ summary. Apparently it's a bug with some recent changes to popups interacting with IE6.0. If you want to fix it, you can change back to the last version of popups - see User talk:Lupin#Getting "revision $1 dated $2 by $3". --Kubigula (talk) 23:37, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Left you a note on your monobook talk--Kubigula (talk) 17:16, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
You're welcome. I had the same problem myself and I got very frustrated trying to figure out what was going on. I'm glad I could save you a little of the frustration.--Kubigula (talk) 17:42, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

User page revert

Hello, Cynrin. I have reverted vandalism on your user page. --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 22:58, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem. I guess that's what we vandalism reverters get for doing our job... ;) --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 01:11, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Laughing Matters

Great work on this article. I've removed the notability tag because you have notable comedic actors who were once members of the group. You had me at Gary Anthony Williams. --06:30, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

The University of Cincinnati troll

I have a vague recollection of a WP:AN post, or perhaps a different noticeboard, about this person, which I think is why I put some of the relevant pages on my watchlist. Shortly after I was gifted with shiny buttons and blocked them, so I guess it's not unexpected that they decided to target me. I just wish I could figure out what there purpose is in sticking that painting up everywhere. I can't figure out if they really like the painting, or they think that the idea of a black Jesus is somehow offensive. The minds of some people... Natalie 22:51, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

IP vandalism

I don't know who you are but don't send messages threatening to ban me from wikipedia for vandalism I had nothing to do with. Apart from the fact I am not a petty child, my opinion of football is so low that I would never even read about it, never mind find some incredibly obscure player: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abel_Xavier and vandalise his page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.178.108.99 (talkcontribs) 18:44, April 14, 2007

I posted the following response plus the welcome anon template to the above IP address's talk page:
Most IP address are shared. If you look at the date of the above warning, it was almost 2 months ago. If you look at the contributions of this IP address [1], you will find 3 vandalism edits to the article mentioned in the above warning. I don't think that you vandalized the page, but I know that someone using this IP address vandalized the article. (For the record, I found the vandalism while patroling the recent changes page and I have no interest in football or football players either.) But that was 2 months ago!
In order to not get confused with other editors (some who may be vandals) I suggest creating your own account. Please read the welcome notice below for more information. Cynrin 21:17, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Reverted edits to User talk:64.85.234.166

Hey Cynrin :) I think you may have meant to revert an edit other than mine on the above referenced page, as my edit was undoing the user's removal of warnings from his/her page. I may have needed to revert to an earlier version than I did, since there have been multiple edits back and forth, but your edit via popups took things back to the user's version (where his/her "last warning" is removed). Best Regards, Wysdom 02:46, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the kind welcome. Paddy 08:23, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Your recent edit to Goblin Valley State Park (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. Image source problem with Image:User:Cynrin

Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:User:Cynrin. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:31, 24 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Our IP friend

It looks like they stopped before I got online. More of a drive-by vandal than a persistent, mess-around-until-blocked vandal. Natalie 15:24, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Wikimania in Atlanta!

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!

P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 08:13, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

I hear you about the heat! Wikimanias are usually held around this time, so nothing can be done about that, but thank God the South has sense enough to make air-conditioning standard everywhere. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 14:10, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Have you made a decision about volunteering? We need anything and everything for help. The opportunities really are endless, and can be online or in person. In person help is always a plus, but if you're good with computers and whatnot, no doubt we could use your help with website stuff and technical support. Get back to me. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 12:34, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:83_Hours_'Til_Dawn.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:83_Hours_'Til_Dawn.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 15:07, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
