A Sword from Red Ice is the third installment of the fantasy series Sword of Shadows by J. V. Jones. The first two books in the series are A Cavern of Black Ice and A Fortress of Grey Ice. Originally presented as a trilogy, but recent information suggests that "ASFRI" is not the final book, and there may be several more to come. This information includes the website of Tor, Jones' US publisher, which states that Sword from Red Ice is book 3 of 5 in the Sword of Shadows series.[1]
It was published in the United States and the United Kingdom on October 16, 2007. [2]
