A Reasonable Explanation For Life was the to-be second album by melodic hardcore band Adelleda, but it was never released, as lead singer Nuno Pereira and guitarist Brendon Reihana left the band during recording of the album, leading to its cancellation. It was set to be released in mid 2008 through Hoof Records. The album was to be co-produced and co-written with Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and NOFX's Fat Mike.
On April 14 2008, Adelleda released the rough, pre-produced version of the album that had already been recorded before Pereira's departure. It was available for free download on their website.
