I just created this article, but it's way below what I'd consider quality. I don't have a copy of the story near me, so I'm pretty sparse on details, which means the article is lacking both in content and style. One thing I remember is that it's fairly clear many of them enjoy their life on Shayol. The idea being in part that "Hell", metaphorically speaking, can be livable if you like the people there. (Although the narcotics also helped)--T. Anthony 13:16, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Empire in Instrumentality Universe

Are there any mentions to this so called Empire in other Cordwainer Smith's writings? I thought that the Instrumentality of the Mankind was the supreme ruling body. 89.137.126.189 19:09, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
