A Portuguesa É A Mais Linda (The Portuguese Woman Is Most Beautiful) is the nineteenth studio album by Portuguese American singer/songwriter Jorge Ferreira, released in 1996 on Portuguese Music World in America and Espacial in Portugal.
1996 was a eventful year for Ferreira. After started his own record company, Portuguese Music World, located in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Ferreira was solicited for vocal performances on various musical projects. He won much charisma, but the time that he crossed to produce various New England's artists had not allowed him to dedicate himself entirely to this album. It was for this reason that all songs were written by his second daughter Elizabeth Marie. The separation with Henda Records wasn't be complete, because the company continued distributing Ferreira's albums released after 1995. The song "A Portuguesa É A Mais Linda" was one of the best that Ferreira recorded during the 90's. Unfortunately, the other songs of this album didn't gain attention but the sales were very satisfactory. Elizabeth Marie played an important function in the continuation of his father’s career. About musicians, Mourning Widows's member Donovan Bettencourt came back on bass. His personal investment on this album was more important than on both precedents. On trumpet, there had well-known American jazz musician Bill Smith.
