A New Disease Is Born is the third full-length studio album by the Greek/Swedish melodic death metal band, Nightrage. It was released by Lifeforce Records on March 12, 2007. The album has a new lineup with some veterans of old Nightrage, the two new members are Jimmie Strimell, their new vocalist, and Alex Svenningson, the new drummer who did not have any issues playing with the veterans.^{[citation needed]} For fans of the band, it showed a more modern sound but still holding the band's original style.^{[citation needed]}

In the song "Drug" from the previous album Descent into Chaos, A New Disease is Born appears in the lyrics to the song, which suggests a possible origin for the name of this album.
