[edit] Plot summary
In this episode, Detectives Goren and Bishop investigate the death of a woman found slashed and beaten in the family's bathroom.
At first, Goren and Bishop believe the wounds were self-inflicted, but they soon turn their attention to the victim's husband, who has a history of violent behaviour. While the subsequent investigation is not successful, they discover the woman died in the same way as several pensioners in the home where she worked, and learn she also discovered their bodies.
But since the detectives cannot implicate the suspect in his wife's death, Goren delve into the family's tragic environment and think the murders were racially motivated by the victims ethnicity.

[Speaking of the NYPD]
Suspect: You make the truth sound like a lie.
Goren: The cuts are on the backs of her hands. If she was defending herself.
Bishop: You mean if she was defending herself like a girl. What if she was defending herself like a boxer.
Rodgers: Score one for the new kid.
[Bishop to a pregnant Eames]
Bishop: If it's okay, I'd like to come with you.
Eames: Sure. You can carry me up the stairs.
