A Message For Marta is the debut album by the Canadian band TAS 1000, released on January 12, 2003 The band started when a group of room mates purchased an answering machine from a well known thrift store. The answering machine, called the TAS 1000 also came with a number of old answering machine tapes. Upon listening to the tapes, the group was formed and the group members began to write music to go with the old messages. After carefully writing music note by note, the group created their debut album "A Message For Marta". The album had a small cult following and sold several copies. Alas, due to a lack of new material, TAS 1000 was forced to disband.
