A Little Bit In Love is a single release by Patty Loveless, recorded at MCA/Nashville in the fall of 1987. It was included on her second album with MCA Records, If My Heart Had Windows, with the single being released in June 1988. It was the third single released from the album.

"A Little Bit In Love", written by Steve Earle, was released in the summer of 1988. It went all the way to #2 on the Billboard Top Country Hits chart. This was the second Steve Earle song that Loveless recorded, the first being 'Some Blue Moons Ago' from her first album, "Patty Loveless".
The song pushed Loveless into the top rung of country singers. No one really knows why a video wasn't produced for this song. This unexpected hit may have caught MCA management by surprise, or perhaps it was overlooked with the impending release of her "Honky Tonk Angel", album a month later.
The song charted for 18 weeks on the Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart, reaching #2 during the week of 10 September 1988.
