Talk:A Heinlein Trio

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page should not be deleted, it should be redirected to Robert A. Heinlein, to which the content has been merged. Kappa 18:43, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Of course it can't be simply deleted. See Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/A Heinlein Trio. Andrewa 20:21, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)
I fail to see why anyone thinks a publisher's reprint of three Heinlein books in a single cover is deserving of a WP "article". There is no additional information that can be added so why waste the energy! If you want to create a copy of the ISBN index that is something non-WP imho. This went to VfD and a conclusion was reached. --Vamp:Willow 21:53, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Apparently, and the conclusion appears to have been merge and redirect, which seems reasonable to me. See Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/A Heinlein Trio. I am reverting to the redirect, as per this decision. If someone wants to delete it now, the place to list it is Wikipedia:Redirects for deletion. Andrewa 00:07, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)
The archive of the VfD discussion has also been restored, not by me but I think quite correctly. The removed text is now at Wikipedia talk:Votes for deletion/A Heinlein Trio. Andrewa 05:45, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Also, if text from this article was moved elsewhere, we need to keep this history of this for Wikipedia:Copyright reasons. Noel (talk) 14:31, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)

From WP:RfD:

  • Content from A Heinlein Trio was merged into Robert A. Heinlein and now the the redirect has been removed and the page is pending deletion. The redirect should be retained because content has been merged, to enable anyone searching for "A Heinlein Trio" to find wikipedia's content about it, and to prevent anyone else being invited to make an article on this topic. • Agree: keep redirect. -Sean Curtin 23:31, Feb 27, 2005 (UTC)
    • Keep redirect. Oppose deletion--Henrygb 00:45, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)
    • Keep. Why is this even listed here? Nobody here wants to delete it, no reason has been given to delete it, it is a useful redirect, and it has significant history as described above. Andrewa 11:04, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)
