Does anybody have any character info on mugo? i cant find any character sketches on the net, thanks.

In this novel we can see that Mugo right from the start appears to be anxious or naive about a cause unknown. The novel later reviels his ambitions in life, to be sucessful. This was motivated by the way in which he grew up. As a result, he does'nt care about the state of mind of other Kenyans who are worried about Uhuru. To reach success, he does not want to be bothered. Kihika enters his life, Mugo resorts to betraying him. The British are not convinced that Mugo is telling the truth about Kihika's Mau Mau cause. He turns him in. The British in turn do not believe Mugo and he is sent to detention camps. He feels bitter about his experience. He has no oath to confess but the people of Kenya mistake his silence when he actually has no knowledge or care about the oath; for bravery, courage and intense nationalistic caues, thus making him the mistaken hero. It is finally realised that Mugo did nothing when he is frustrated to the point where he tells the people the truth.
