- I believe this is now the only Simpsons episode that does not have its own article, for the sake of completion then please let this be done!--Jacrosse 23:26, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

- It says it shouldn't be re-created without a good reason, but there are several good reasons!--Jnelson09 20:29, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

- I think that there are plenty of good reasons to create this article, one being that almost all other Simpsons episodes have an article.--Thepangelinanpost 19:42, 6 March 2006 (EST)

- The admin who put up the "don't recreate" notice commented, "frequent copyvio target". So I would say that if someone wants to write an article on this episode from scratch, without plagarizing the snpp.com episode guide or getting the text somewhere else, I can't imagine why it wouldn't be acceptable. I say go for it. bikeable (talk) 01:28, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

I moved a new substub here. I agree that putting the "do not recreate" notice on a page like this is not very helpful. — sjorford (talk) 22:49, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Panaflex
There is a discussion here[1] on why the Panaflex reference should stay. If it is "unsourced" or original research, then virtually all the other trivia and cultural references are, too. Also, I moved a couple of items from the trivia section because they are cultural references. Why revert those changes? Laszlo Panaflex 17:21, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, virtually all trivia is unreferenced and unneeded. This one in particular is a stretch. If you can get a source, it can stay. -- Scorpion 17:57, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- The point, made in the other discussion, is that the name is the source. Kovacs was the first, and one of the only, cinematographers to use a Panaflex camera. There is a camera on the star below the name. The source is the same as the MacArthur Park reference, and far more clear than the Rock Hudson reference. Would you find it acceptable if I added that it "probably refers to" Kovacs, like the Hudson ref? Laszlo Panaflex 20:25, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- It still doesn;t mean its a reference to him. Either way, it's a long shot. You could find dozens of possible references in every episode, but it doesn't make them true. Find a source, and it can stay. -- Scorpion 13:11, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
