A Future Loss is a Punk Rock Band from the United States of America. They have released several Singles including “Only One War” (2003) and an Album called “Last One’s Standing” (2006)

[edit] History

A Future Loss was created in 2002 under the name “Mushroom Clouds of Faith.” Soon after the kickoff of the new music endeavor the name was changed due to the miscommunication of being a punk band. With the release of “Only One War”(2003) the band began accumulating fans from playing coffee shops and basement shows.

After the release of the CD the lead guitarist, and back up vocalist Josh Grengs moved to Japan to study abroad. With this event the band found former bassist of Scars and Stripes, Ryan Hood to fill the position. The band then began recording their next album, “At Least You’re Not Me”, however with Ryan leaving the band the CD was never finished. In 2005 Grengs returned home for a short stint to help record their next album, “Last One’s Standing,” featuring songs previously recorded on “At Least You’re Not Me” and plenty of new ones that Josh brought back with him.

With the departure of Josh back to Japan, A Future Loss recruited guitarist Sean Weinert. After only playing a few shows over the course of a few months Sean moved to Arizona to pursue a recording career. This event caused A Future Loss to decide it was time to work as a three piece.

They’ve begun writing new music for their upcoming album which will be recorded in the spring of 2007. Throughout the past five years A Future Loss has shared the stage with other struggling Denver, CO bands, as well as national touring acts. They’ve played at The Gothic, The BlueBird, The Ogden, and Hard Rock Café Denver, playing with bands like The Briggs, The Queers, Much The Same, and I AM GHOST.
