A Day in Black and White are a band based in Washington, DC who formed in 2001. They have released 2 full-length albums, My Heroes Have Always Killed Cowboys (2004) and Notes (2005), a split 10" with Navies (2005), a split with Black Castle, a split 7" with Silent Reminder (2003), and a split 7" with Golden Birds (2005). Genres they have been described as include post-punk, post-hardcore, experimental/indie rock and even post-emo. Their sound has been compared to bands such as Sonic Youth and Fugazi. They are currently signed to Level Plane Records.
