A960 Godetia is a command and logistical support ship of the Belgian Naval Component, launched on December 7, 1965 at the Boelwerf in Temse, and christened by Mrs. Moyersoen. The patronage of the A960 Godetia was accepted by the city of Ostend. It was the first of two support ships.
The A960 Godetia is currently commanded by Corvette Captain Luc van den Steen, who took over on 2 February 2008 from Corvette Captain Philippe Plumier.[1]

The A960 Godetia is the successor of the K226 HMS Godetia, a Flower class corvette which was manned by Belgian sailors during Second World War.

The A960 Godetia has three missions: fishery protection, acting as a support and supply ship for minesweepers and acting as a command ship for mine countermeasure operations.
